“The Dignity of
Human
Life”
Bereaved families and bereft friends who lost loved ones in fatal crashes along Maryland Route 210 (Indian Head Highway) will participate in a special observance in loving memory of their beloved departed. The ceremony will be held Saturday morning, June 11, 2022, starting at 10 a.m. Approximately over 80 traffic deaths, and hundreds of crashes resulting in severe injuries, have occurred along the roadway in the period from 2007 to mid-2022.
Maryland Route 210 has
been labeled “a death trap” by Prince George’s
County
Executive Angela Alsobrooks. On this day, we want to focus on “The Dignity of Human
Life”
by remembering and honoring the lives
lost and sending forth a message of hope. The families and friends
will lovingly conduct a solemn white dove release ceremony at
the
conclusion of the memorial program.
